"Limit your need, minimize your greed; sow a seed, let the earth breathe"
The importance of trees in purifying the air, as natural resources, maintaining the ecological balance, preventing soil erosion, as medicines, habitats for faunal species, providing nutrients to the soil etc. is well known. The involvement of people - particularly at the grassroots level - and agencies outside the Government is crucial for achieving these targets.

Animal & Environment Care Organisation (AENCO) has already been serving the cause of Animal Welfare and Environment protection cause since last 12 years and has been a pioneering organisation locally as well as International. www.aenco.org

Through our 'AENCO GO-GREEN CAMPAIGN" supported by AEGIS company we have planned a plantation drive of around 5000 saplings (1 Year and above) to be done in Bhopal & surrounding areas from 5 to 15th of August, 2013.

A special care has been taken for this plantation drive to choose about one year and above saplings from among the native species like Seesham, Karanj , Baans , Neem , Gulmohar , Aam , Ashok , Sagon , Jaam & Jaamun that would be able to sustain properly after this initial drive.. The air, water, soil and climate of the Bhopal & surrounding region are most suitable for the growth of these native species, and hence their survival rate is quite high. In turn, these support the birds, insects and animals of this ecosystem. These species also are most effective in fighting air and noise pollution.

As a part of this campaign we are looking for partner organization/schools/colleges or any other institutions that can help us in this campaign by making us plant these saplings in their premises/field or where ever they want. We would be providing manpower/ saplings & would also have them transported to the venue.
Your support is to make sure that Pit digging (1X1X1 m) and black soil for pit filling after plantation has to be arranged by you before our team reaches for this campaign.

Mere planting of trees will not help our campaign finally. Proper care has to be taken of the saplings planted. Following points should be taken care after doing these tree plantations at your place.
Saplings should be watered regularly during times of a dry spell.
Tree guards should be provided for roadside plantations.
Well-drained deep sandy loams are best suited for plant growth.
Soil or plantation area should be free of construction waste, debris etc.
Organic compost manure should be applied during plantation and during the initial growth phase of the plants. Chemical Fertilizers should not be added.

Schools and colleges should adopt "one child one plant" scheme, where the responsibility of growing the plant lies with the student. This will be a learning experience for the student as well. It is hoped that in the coming years, the children not just plant more and more trees but also take care of them, watch them grow and be able bask in their glorious beauty.

If you are interested to participate in this Plantation Drive please intimate us initially (before 2ndth August) through confirmation letter/email along with the number of plants to be planted, date of plantation and your priority from listed list of plants.

Please allocate a Campaign Leader from your organization along with his contact details that can coordinate with our team to avoid any communication gap.
